The Association for Women and Feminist Philosophers in Finland (NFY) promotes the cause of women and feminist philosophers in Finland and creates possibilities for their co-operation. In addition, NFY works with similar associations abroad. To these ends, NFY organizes conferences, seminars and book clubs, which are open to all comers.

NFY Discussion Event: History and Future of Feminist Philosophy in USA and Finland. Wednesday 28th of August, 18:00-20:00, Bookstore Sofia (Antikvariaatti Sofia), Vuorikatu 5. NFY organized a discussion event on the history and future of feminist philosophy in USA and Finland. Presentations were heard from Dr. Ericka Tucker, Assistant Professor of Philosophy (Cal Poly Pomona) and Dr. Martina Reuter, Senior Lecturer (University of Jyväskylä).

The Legacy of Simone de Beauvoir: Ambiguity and Embodied Subjectivity. A philosophical seminar commemorating Simone de Beauvoir was arranged at the University of Helsinki, April 15, 2013. Keynote speaker: Professor Christine Daigle (Brock University).
